Seongnam City is accepting applications for its "2026 Community Revitalization Project" through February 13, targeting apartment complexes with 20 or more households.
The program offers grants ranging from 2 million won to 10 million won per complex, with total funding of 80 million won available.
Eligible programs include conflict resolution initiatives addressing issues such as noise and secondhand smoke between floors, utility cost reduction through energy savings, and other community-building activities.
Applicants must submit applications and project proposals—posted on the Seongnam City website under official announcements—jointly signed by three parties: the residents' representative council, community organization, and property management office. Applications should be filed through the "Botaem-e" platform.
Each complex must cover at least 20% of project costs.
A selection committee will evaluate proposals based on necessity, expected outcomes, resident participation, and sustainability.
Selected complexes will receive funding starting in May.
Last year, the city supported nine complexes with a total of 60 million won. Recipients included Pangyo Wonhanlim Full Ever in Bundang-gu for a residents' writing and art contest, Sanseong Station Xi Prugio Complex 3 in Sujeong-gu for a community clean-up event, and Hanyang Sujain Seongnam Markview in Jungwon-gu for a children's pottery workshop.
"We expect this project to foster communication and cooperation among residents, spreading positive change throughout the community," a city official said. "We hope to see active participation from many apartment complexes."
