JINJU, South Korea — A man in his 20s was arrested after allegedly stabbing two people during a violent incident at his ex-girlfriend's home in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, police said Sunday.
The suspect, identified only as A, was apprehended approximately three hours after the attack. The two victims sustained knife wounds but are not in life-threatening condition, authorities confirmed.
According to Jinju Police Station, A allegedly went to the home of his former girlfriend, identified as B, at approximately 4:37 a.m. on Sunday. After a verbal altercation, he allegedly assaulted B and stabbed two acquaintances—one male and one female—who were present at the scene before fleeing.

Police analyzed closed-circuit television footage and determined that A had fled the scene by taxi. Authorities immediately requested cooperation from police agencies nationwide.
Working with the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency's highway patrol unit, officers apprehended A on a highway in Cheongju at approximately 8 a.m.—three hours and 16 minutes after the incident.
