
Gwangju Metropolitan City is recruiting 100 trainees for the third cohort of its "GCC Academy" through March 27 to develop professionals who will lead the cultural content industry.
The GCC Academy is a training platform for cultural content professionals operated by Gwangju City, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Gwangju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency. The program systematically cultivates practical content talent through field-oriented education and corporate partnership programs.
The academy has attracted nationwide attention, with competition ratios rising from 2.6-to-1 for the first cohort to 3-to-1 for the second.
The curriculum specializes in four core cultural content sectors: immersive content, games, animation, and webtoons. Starting this year, the academy plans to introduce a cutting-edge curriculum that applies generative artificial intelligence technology to content production processes, actively fostering talent capable of integrating AI into content creation.
