Gunpo Industrial Promotion Agency announced on the 26th that it has been selected for the 2026 "Gyeonggi Province Small Manufacturer Complex Support Center Expansion and Construction Project" organized by the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency.
The project aims to strengthen the competitiveness of local small manufacturers by expanding comprehensive support infrastructure, including shared equipment facilities, technology advancement, education and consulting, and sales channel support. The initiative targets building self-sufficiency for small manufacturer clusters within the province and establishing a foundation for manufacturing innovation.
Gunpo Industrial Promotion Agency received high marks for project feasibility, linkage with local industries, operational capability, and sustainability. The agency's plans for specialized programs connected to Gunpo's concentrated small manufacturing sectors and systematic support platform construction were particularly recognized for excellence.
Gunpo Industrial Promotion Agency plans to sign a tripartite agreement with Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency and Gunpo City to formally launch the project.
