
A fire broke out at a restaurant in Bukchang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, prompting firefighters to respond to the scene.
The Jungbu Fire Station received a report at approximately 6:22 p.m. on the 26th that smoke was coming from a restaurant on the second floor of a commercial building in Bukchang-dong.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at around 6:28 p.m. and are currently battling the blaze with 96 personnel and 27 pieces of equipment. The fire is believed to have started at the second-floor restaurant before spreading to a temporary structure on the third floor.
The restaurant owner and customers who were in the building at the time evacuated, and no casualties have been reported so far. Fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
