Korea Nuclear Fuel Co. (KNFC) announced on January 9 that its labor and management jointly delivered fruits and Onnuri gift vouchers to local social welfare facilities ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
The company purchased the items from its sister farms and traditional markets to support the local economy. The donations will be distributed to vulnerable neighbors in the community through social welfare facilities including Songgang Social Welfare Center.
KNFC has been conducting ongoing corporate social responsibility activities, including spreading a culture of sharing through its "Enertopia Volunteer Corps." In December 2024, the company received the highest rating for the fourth consecutive year under the "Community Contribution Recognition Program" and was awarded a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare.
"We hope our heartfelt sharing will not only invigorate the local economy but also serve as a warm holiday gift for our neighbors," said KNFC President Chung Chang-jin. "We will continue to engage with the local community through ongoing volunteer and sharing activities."
