A man in his 80s has been arrested and is under investigation for committing an indecent act in front of an apartment shopping complex despite the presence of young children nearby.
According to Yonhap News Agency on January 13, the Seoul Gangseo Police Station referred the case of the man, identified only as A, to prosecutors without detention on December 25 on charges of public indecency.
A is accused of committing an indecent act near a bus stop in front of an apartment shopping complex in Yeomchang-dong, Gangseo-gu, at around 3:37 p.m. on December 2.
A young child was reportedly present on the street when A committed the act. Police responding to a report apprehended A as he was wandering near the scene.
Police determined there was sufficient evidence of criminal activity based on video footage recorded by a witness and arrested A at the scene.
