Lee Meets Former President Moon, Calls for Unity and Expansion

President Lee Jae-myung met with former President Moon Jae-in on Tuesday and said, "Internal unity is also very important. We must be solid at the core," adding, "And we must continuously expand our reach and work to create a structural majority."

Lee made the remarks during a luncheon with Moon at the Blue House, then said, "I believe these two things must be done in harmony."

"Our democratic government has now become a major force that must take responsibility for the entire nation," Lee explained. "Fundamentally, as we take power, we must represent everyone and conduct politics and administration for all."

The luncheon menu included bibimbap, croaker soup, grilled braised Korean beef short ribs, buckwheat cabbage pancakes and John Dory pancakes. For dessert, assorted rice cakes and fruit punch were prepared.

The Blue House said the menu featured "croaker soup, a summer seasonal dish and the finest restorative food that is also a fish Moon enjoys, and bibimbap, a symbol of unity," describing it as "a menu to welcome former President Moon on his return to the Blue House after leaving office."
