The Ministry of National Defense said Tuesday it will air a 3D anamorphic media art video themed "Advanced Weapons in a Child's Dream" on the large outdoor screen at Shinsegae Square in Myeong-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul, throughout July.
3D anamorphic is an immersive media art technique that uses optical illusion effects based on perspective, allowing viewers to experience maximized three-dimensional depth and immersion when viewed from a specific vantage point.
In a dream adventure spanning sky, land, and sea, the Korean-made KF-21 Boramae fighter jet, the Korean K2 Black Panther tank, and the Dosan Ahn Chang-ho submarine built with domestic technology spend time with a child as friends and helpers, portrayed in a bright and warm, fairy-tale-like atmosphere.
"This video, planned to mark major July defense anniversaries such as UN Forces Participation Day and Defense Industry Day, blends the image of the armed forces protecting citizens' daily lives with a young child's dreamlike imagination, conveying the message that they are the power protecting children's dreams," a Defense Ministry official said.
