
President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating fell for a sixth consecutive week, while support for the ruling Democratic Party rose for a second straight week.
In a survey conducted by Realmeter at the request of Energy Economy News from June 22 to 26, 46.5% of 2,502 eligible voters aged 18 and older nationwide said Lee was doing a good job in his handling of state affairs, according to results released Sunday. The positive response rate fell 0.2 percentage point from the previous week's survey. Approval of Lee's performance has declined for six consecutive weeks after peaking at 60.5% in the second week of May.

Support for the Democratic Party, by contrast, rose 0.9 percentage point to 41.0%. The party posted 38.0% in the second week of June, 40.1% in the third week, and 41.0% in the fourth week, marking two straight weeks of gains.
Support for the People Power Party fell 0.3 percentage point to 42.0%. The Rebuilding Korea Party and the New Reform Party recorded 3.7% and 2.8%, respectively. The Progressive Party stood at 1.5%, while voters with no party affiliation accounted for 6.9%.
The survey was conducted entirely by wireless (100%) automated response. It had a margin of error of ±2.0 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, with a response rate of 4.1%. Further details are available on the website of the National Election Survey Deliberation Commission.
