Presidential Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik will pay a courtesy visit to the leadership of the National Assembly's latter half of the 22nd term on Tuesday.
Presidential Senior Spokesperson Kang Yu-jeong announced this through a press notice Monday. "The chief of staff will convey the president's congratulations to the newly formed Assembly leadership and exchange views on ways to communicate and cooperate closely with the National Assembly, a partner in state affairs," Kang said. Presidential Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Hong Ihk-pyo and others will accompany Kang on the visit.
Meanwhile, Kang wrote on his social media account that day, "The Lee Jae-myung administration is entering its second year," adding, "I will assist the president without any gaps and without wavering."
He also stressed, "Together with a people who have overcome every crisis and hardship and instead seized them as opportunities to leap forward, the Republic of Korea's challenge can become the world's standard, as the president has said." He added, "Throughout that entire journey, the presidential office will not compromise before the lives of the people, which are our government's only standard."
