Park Chan-dae of the Democratic Party of Korea is projected to win 53.7% of the vote, while Yoo Jeong-bok of the People Power Party is forecast to receive 45.5%, according to an exit poll from the June 3 local elections held Tuesday.
"The Incheon we dream of is not far away," Park wrote on Facebook the same day. "A reliable city where our children can laugh and play freely, a place where everyone who works can sweat in safety. A dynamic Incheon brimming with economic vitality through high-tech industries. Your precious vote will make all of this a reality."
