The Daegu mayoral race is projected to be an extremely tight contest, according to a joint exit poll conducted by South Korea's three major terrestrial broadcasters.
In the exit poll, Kim Boo-kyum, the Democratic Party candidate, garnered 49.1 percent, while Choo Kyung-ho, the People Power Party candidate, received 49.9 percent — a margin of 0.9 percentage points.
