Cheong Wa Dae announced Monday that it will hold a special exhibition titled "Trajectory of Light" to mark the first anniversary of the People's Sovereignty Government, looking back on the past year's policy achievements together with the public. The exhibition, which will run from December 10 through the end of this year at Cheong Wa Dae Sarangchae, consists of five sections.
The first section, "Light Overcomes Darkness — The Revolution of Light and the Birth of the Lee Jae-myung Government," recreates the social atmosphere and public aspirations at the time of the government's launch as an immersive media space, with participation from media artist Yoon Je-ho.
The next section, "Lighting the Way — A Working President, a Working Government," is a data visualization exhibit based on President Lee's posts on X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook. Cheong Wa Dae said the section "allows visitors to see at a glance which agendas the government has focused on and how it has communicated with the public."
The "Connecting the Light — Changes in National Standing, Unboxing Together with the People" section displays photographs from various summit diplomacy events over the past year, as well as gifts President Lee Jae-myung received during overseas visits. The "Enjoying the Light — People's Sovereignty Policies, Changes in My Life" section presents explanations of various policies.
The final section, titled "Tomorrow's Light — The Next Promise, Together with All," is set up so that visitors can view a video message from President Lee and take commemorative photographs. As participatory content for the public, a video message from President Lee greeting visitors will play on a large 3D screen.
Cheong Wa Dae also said it will run a "First Anniversary Commemorative Digital Goods" experience exhibition on the first floor of Cheong Wa Dae Sarangchae throughout June. Visitors will be able to apply and try out digital goods previously distributed as smartphone and smartwatch wallpapers on site. In particular, they can participate in creating digital goods themselves using a photo booth set up at the venue.
"This is an attempt to move away from one-way promotional methods of announcing policies and to be reborn as a policy communication platform in which the public directly participates and creates together," said Lee Kyu-yeon, senior secretary for public relations and communication at Cheong Wa Dae.
