The Presidential Office said Friday that the investigation team probing the HMM Namu "has completed its on-site activities and will return individually depending on flight availability."
"The team has wrapped up the necessary on-site investigation," a Presidential Office official said on the 10th. "We have received the initial field investigation results, which are currently under review and evaluation by the relevant agencies," the official said, adding, "We will respond on the cause of the Namu fire after the relevant agencies complete their review and evaluation of the on-site investigation results."
The government investigation team continued its probe into the Namu for a third day, after a fire broke out on the vessel while it was anchored in the Strait of Hormuz. The team began its full-scale investigation on the 8th, a day after the Namu arrived at the Middle East's largest repair shipyard in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The team entered the engine room of the fire-stricken vessel from the first day and began its investigation there, reportedly focusing all efforts on finding clues to the cause of the accident through a detailed forensic examination of the engine room.
