The Prime Minister's Office announced Wednesday that it has appointed Na Seung-chul (49, 35th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute), managing attorney at law firm Liman, as its new chief of civil affairs.
Na previously served as the 92nd president of the Seoul Bar Association and has been active as a member of the Prosecution Reform Review Committee and as chairman of the Gyeonggi Province Regulatory Reform Committee.
He was also previously listed as a member of the legal team for President Lee Jae-myung's final appeal in a case involving alleged violations of the Public Official Election Act.
Na will assist Prime Minister Kim Min-seok, succeeding former civil affairs chief Shin Hyun-sung, who recently resigned.
Kwon Hye-rin, director general for planning and coordination at the Office for Government Policy Coordination, was appointed head of the working group for the National Land Grand Transformation Policy.
