
South Korea said Wednesday it shared information with US and Japanese diplomatic authorities regarding North Korea's recent ballistic missile launches and discussed future response measures.
"Director-General Baek Yong-jin of the Korean Peninsula Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held telephone consultations with David Whireleseu, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Japan and Korea, and Kengo Otsuka, Deputy Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau at Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs," the ministry said. "They shared information related to North Korea's ballistic missile launch and discussed future response measures."
The ministry added that South Korea, the US, and Japan "operate a channel for rapidly sharing relevant information and situation assessments whenever North Korea launches ballistic missiles."
