
President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating held at 69%, matching the record high since his inauguration in June last year, according to a poll released Sunday.
The National Barometer Survey (NBS), conducted by Embrain Public, Kstat Research, Korea Research, and Hankook Research among 1,000 adults aged 18 and older from June 6-8 and released the same day, showed 69% of respondents positively evaluated the president's job performance, unchanged from the previous survey two weeks earlier.
The disapproval rating remained at 22%, also unchanged from the last survey.
In party support, the Democratic Party of Korea recorded 47% while the People Power Party stood at 18%. Compared to the previous survey, the Democratic Party rose 1 percentage point while the People Power Party remained the same.
The NBS poll was conducted via phone interviews using mobile virtual numbers (100%). The margin of error is ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level. The response rate was 22.7%.
