
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said Thursday that the military detected several unidentified ballistic missiles launched from the Wonsan area of North Korea toward the East Sea at around 8:50 a.m.
"Our military detected several unidentified ballistic missiles fired from the Wonsan area toward the East Sea at approximately 8:50 a.m.," the JCS said in a text message to reporters.
"Our military has strengthened surveillance and vigilance in preparation for additional launches, and is maintaining full readiness while closely sharing information on North Korean ballistic missiles with the United States," the JCS added.
