The Military Manpower Administration (MMA) announced Monday that military service assessment examinations will be suspended at all assessment centers nationwide from June 9 through 17.
The closure is scheduled to coincide with a training period for dedicated military service assessment physicians aimed at ensuring fairness and expertise in the examination process.
During the period, the agency also plans to conduct performance inspections of medical equipment, maintenance of computer systems and safety checks of facilities.
While physical examinations will be suspended, the filing of civil affairs documents such as applications for changes in military service disposition will proceed as normal. All physical examinations including military service assessments will resume on June 20.
"We ask that those subject to military service obligations check their scheduled examination dates in advance to avoid any inconvenience from visiting assessment centers during the closure period," an MMA official said.
