The Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) announced Wednesday that it held a "Win-Win Cooperation Agreement Ceremony for Mutual Growth of Defense System and Subcontractor Companies" at the National Assembly Members' Office Building's 8th conference room, jointly with the office of National Defense Committee Chairman Seong Il-jong.
The ceremony was attended by DAPA Administrator Lee Yong-cheol, National Defense Committee Chairman Seong Il-jong, and executives from six major defense system integrators — Hanwha Aerospace (012450.KS), LIG D&A, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) (047810.KS), Hyundai Rotem (064350.KS), HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (329180.KS), and Hanwha Ocean (042660.KS) — along with officials from their subcontractors.
At the event, the six system integrators presented their win-win cooperation models, including best practices in mutual growth and plans for promoting collaborative partnerships. They also shared achievements and visions for mutual growth with their subcontractors.
"A strong cooperative relationship between system integrators and subcontractors is essential for our defense industry to achieve global competitiveness and solidify its international standing," DAPA Administrator Lee said. "We will spare no effort in providing institutional support at the government level so that the spirit of win-win cooperation, voluntarily fostered by the private sector, can spread throughout the entire defense industry ecosystem."
