President Lee's Approval Rating Hits 65%, Matching Post-Inauguration High

President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating has reached 65%, matching the highest level since his inauguration in June last year. This equals the peak recorded in July last year, immediately after he took office.

According to a Gallup Korea survey of 1,001 adults aged 18 and older conducted from the 3rd to 5th, positive assessments of President Lee's job performance stood at 65%. This represents a 1 percentage point increase from the previous survey, tying the record high set on July 4 last year. Negative responses ("doing poorly") fell 1 percentage point to 25%, while 10% withheld their opinion.

Top reasons for positive ratings included "economy and livelihood" (18%), "real estate policy" (16%), "diplomacy" (11%), "doing well overall" (10%), "communication" and "stock market gains" (6% each), and "policies for ordinary citizens/welfare" (5%).

Negative assessments cited "real estate policy" and "economy and livelihood" (13% each), "arbitrarily changing laws" (8%), "dictatorship/unilateralism" (7%), and "diplomacy," "doing poorly overall," and "ethical issues/unqualified" (6% each).
