South Korea Defense Chief Speaks with U.S. Counterpart on Middle East

South Korean Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-baek held a phone call with U.S. Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby on Sunday to discuss Washington's position on military operations against Iran.

The Ministry of National Defense said Minister Ahn shared perspectives with Undersecretary Colby on the situation in the Middle East.

Both sides reaffirmed the strength of the South Korea-U.S. alliance amid the rapidly changing international security environment and agreed to maintain close communication and cooperation going forward.
