The Democratic Party of Korea announced primary candidates for key local government positions on Thursday.
For the Seoul mayoral race, the party named six candidates: Kim Young-bae, Kim Hyung-nam, Park Joo-min, Park Hong-keun, Jeon Hyun-hee, and Jeong Won-oh.
The Gyeonggi gubernatorial primary will feature five candidates: Kwon Chil-seung, Kim Dong-yeon, Yang Ki-dae, Choo Mi-ae, and Han Jun-ho.
For Ulsan mayor, four candidates were selected: Kim Sang-wook, Song Cheol-ho, Ahn Jae-hyun, and Lee Sun-ho.
The Gwangju-South Jeolla region primary includes eight candidates: Kang Ki-jung, Min Hyung-bae, Lee Byung-hoon, Jung Jun-ho, Kim Young-rok, Shin Jung-hoon, Lee Gae-ho, and Joo Cheol-hyun.
The party's Public Nomination Committee confirmed it will hold primaries in four regions: Seoul, Gyeonggi, Ulsan, and Gwangju-South Jeolla.
