Democratic Party of Korea lawmakers criticized People Power Party leader Chang Dong-hyuk as "cowardly" after he listed only one of his six properties for sale.
Kang Deuk-koo, a Democratic Party supreme council member, wrote on Facebook on the 28th, "The president sold his home as the People Power Party demanded to show his commitment to real estate policy." He asked, "Will Chairman Chang sell his six houses?"
Earlier, PPP chief spokesperson Park Sung-hoon had stated regarding President Lee Jae-myung's apartment sale that "Chairman Chang already listed one property he doesn't actually use for sale long ago."
Regarding the PPP's explanation that Chang's listed property hasn't sold, Kang said, "It's not selling because there are no buyer inquiries? Doesn't that mean he has no real intention to sell?" He added, "Give us a proper answer."
Democratic Party lawmaker Han Joon-ho also wrote on Facebook that Chang "takes politics too lightly" and called the explanation "flimsy and cowardly." He added, "If that's the case, be honest. Just say you can't sell because you don't want to part with it."
Park Soo-hyun, the Democratic Party's chief spokesperson, wrote on Facebook, "They shouldn't mislead people as if a property listed long ago was just put on the market now."
