
The Presidential Office's National Security Office announced it held an "emergency NSC working-level coordination meeting" at 7 p.m. on the 28th regarding the situation in Iran.
"The meeting assessed the situation in Iran and the broader Middle East, and primarily reviewed the safety status of Korean nationals in the region," the National Security Office stated. "We evaluated the impact of the current situation on our national security and economy, and reviewed measures taken by relevant ministries as well as future plans."
The office added, "We decided to closely monitor and prepare for future developments, keeping in mind the possibility of a prolonged crisis."
The results of today's meeting were also reported to President Lee Jae-myung.
