The Military Manpower Administration announced on the 26th that it will begin 2026 military mobilization training for reserve forces starting on the 3rd of next month.
Military mobilization training is a mission proficiency exercise conducted over three days and two nights at mobilization units or training sites. Reserve forces are called up to supplement military personnel during national emergencies such as wartime.
Enlisted personnel are subject to training from the year after discharge through their fourth year, while officers, warrant officers, and non-commissioned officers are subject through their sixth year. Approximately 420,000 personnel are scheduled to participate this year.
Individual training periods, locations, and enrollment methods will be communicated through mobilization training召集 notices sent via email, mobile app, or registered mail at least seven days before the enrollment date.
Postponements are available for reasons including illness, important work duties, planned overseas travel, or scheduled examinations. Those seeking postponement must apply to their local Military Manpower Administration office at least five days before the enrollment date.
