The Presidential Office is in discussions with Indonesia regarding the schedule for President Prabowo Subianto's state visit to South Korea.
A Presidential Office official said on the 25th, "Both countries have been coordinating the schedule for President Prabowo's visit to Korea," adding that "the schedule will be announced through mutual agreement once specific dates are confirmed."
The official explained, "During the Korea-Indonesia summit at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Meeting in Gyeongju last November, President Lee invited President Prabowo, and President Prabowo accepted the invitation."
At the bilateral summit last November, President Lee had told President Prabowo, "We had planned a state visit in September but it fell through. Please visit at your earliest convenience." President Prabowo responded, "I apologize for not being able to visit in September. I will make sure to visit Korea soon."
