Rep. Yoon Jong-gun of the Democratic Party of Korea received the top award at the "Outstanding National Assembly Library User Awards" ceremony on the 24th, marking the library's 74th anniversary.
The National Assembly Library annually presents the National Assembly Speaker's Award to lawmakers with excellent usage records across four categories: digital library usage, in-person visits, legislative and legal information inquiries, and book borrowing.
Yoon was selected as the top lawmaker in the digital library category for borrowing 72 books from the National Assembly's digital library in 2025. He borrowed more than one book per week to actively support his parliamentary work.
"I read everything from old classics to new publications that could help with legislation," Yoon said. "I'm pleased that my belief that continuous study is essential for proper legislative work has been recognized."
He added, "I will continue diligent parliamentary activities through steady study and research."
