Lee Jun-seok, leader of the Reform Party, and conservative YouTuber Jeon Han-gil will hold an "unlimited debate" on election fraud allegations on the 27th.
The Reform Party announced on the 23rd that the debate between Lee and Jeon will be livestreamed at 6 p.m. on the 27th through the YouTube channel "Pen & Mike."
The party stated that the debate "was arranged to fully expose the true face of election fraud conspiracy theories that have been shaking the foundations of democracy while draining social resources," adding that "directly confronting and eradicating the spread of baseless suspicions, rather than leaving them unchecked, is an unavoidable responsibility of politicians who represent the people."
The debate will proceed without time limits.
On January 29, Lee proposed on Facebook: "I'm tired of the pattern where I address one election fraud theorist and another pops up spouting nonsense. I'll gather them all and settle this at once. Format: 100 versus 1. Time: unlimited."
Jeon, who has long promoted election fraud theories, responded on the 6th that he would "confidently accept," finalizing the debate.
Both sides plan to coordinate specific details.
