
Prime Minister Kim Min-seok held a "K-Government Briefing" for local residents in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province, on the 21st. This marked the 11th such event where the prime minister visits regions to explain the Lee Jae-myung administration's governing philosophy.
The Prime Minister's Office announced that during his Pohang visit, PM Kim "will emphasize plans to develop Pohang as a specialized district for hydrogen, steel, and advanced materials, and to achieve both steel industry advancement and carbon neutrality through commercialization of hydrogen-based steelmaking."
The office also stated that the prime minister "will announce policies to support North Gyeongsang Province in becoming a pillar of balanced national development connecting the central, East Sea, and southern regions through R&D support, workforce development, and expansion of logistics and transportation infrastructure."
The briefing was organized at the invitation of the Democratic Party of Korea's North Gyeongsang Province chapter. The K-Government Briefing is an event where the prime minister meets local residents to introduce the Lee Jae-myung administration's governing philosophy and hear their opinions. Previous sessions have been held in Seoul, Gwangju, Incheon, South Jeolla, South Gyeongsang, Gangwon, and Gyeonggi provinces.
