Coupang's acting CEO Harold Rogers appeared before the National Assembly's Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee on January 17, where he faced intense questioning from lawmakers across party lines regarding the company's data breach incident.
During the hearing, Rogers stated that the company is "reviewing compensation measures" for affected customers whose personal information was leaked.
The hearing was marked by notable absences. Key witnesses including Bom Kim, chairman of Coupang Inc (CPNG), as well as former CEOs Park Dae-jun and Kang Han-seung, did not attend.
Rogers was accompanied by Cho Yong-woo, vice president for National Assembly and government affairs, and Min Byung-ki, vice president for external cooperation.
