SK AX has presented an "agentic enterprise" strategy that redesigns overall corporate operations and tasks with artificial intelligence (AI).
SK AX held the "Imagine AX 2026" conference at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on Tuesday, unveiling cases of corporate innovation centered on AI agents that make decisions and execute tasks on their own.
Kim Wan-jong, president of SK AX, took the stage as the keynote speaker and assessed that company-wide optimization using AI is becoming the new standard for corporate competitiveness. "A company's competitiveness lies not in adopting better AI, but in creating new growth value through company-wide optimization via AI," he said. "The gap between companies that have achieved task efficiency and company-wide augmentation through AI and those that have not has already begun to appear in management performance." He stressed, "Companies must go beyond simply adopting AI and equip themselves with core AI transformation (AX) capabilities such as strategy, technology, and data."
He then introduced AX cases that client companies and partner firms across various industries, including manufacturing, semiconductors, and finance, pursued together with SK AX. SK hynix is working with SK AX to expand the precision of manufacturing processes and the scope of data utilization based on digital twins. It is also accelerating its transition to an autonomous factory, a self-operating model for maximizing yield. CS Wind, a wind tower manufacturer, developed a manufacturing AX model with SK AX that optimizes work planning and schedule adjustments by connecting production site data and work processes with AI agents.
Shinhan Financial Group is working with SK AX to refine a "one-person, one-financial-agent" work model that carries out data security, access management, and regulatory compliance tasks. Mercer, a global human resources (HR) consulting firm, is designing an organizational operation system in which humans and AI collaborate, based on its partnership with SK AX.
Cha Ji-won, chief AI innovation officer (CAIO) of SK AX, said, "For AI to deliver actual business results, not only a company's internal data, systems, and processes but also industry-specific domain knowledge must be precisely integrated." He added, "SK AX is advancing field-customized execution models through 'Xgentic Wire,' an agentic AI platform."
