Lotte Biologics will participate in the "2026 BIO International Convention (BIO USA)," the world's largest biotechnology industry event held in San Diego this month, the company said Wednesday.
BIO USA is a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry exhibition organized by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, where pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, investment institutions and research organizations from around the world seek business collaboration opportunities. Lotte Biologics has participated for five consecutive years since 2022.
Lotte Biologics will operate a standalone exhibition booth at this event. The booth will feature a lounge for visitor exchange and a private meeting room to discuss collaboration with global clients. The company will also hold an "In-booth Presentation" introducing its vision and business capabilities, as well as participatory programs related to antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates (ADC).
The In-booth Presentation will be held three times. On the first day, the company will introduce its development and production collaboration strategy jointly with synthetic biology company Asimov. On the second day, it will present a production process scale-up strategy utilizing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology that analyzes internal fluid flow in bioreactors. On the third day, under the theme of digital transformation of manufacturing processes, it will share smart manufacturing capabilities and operational innovation measures.
In particular, this year the company will unveil for the first time photo and video content showing Plant 1 of the Songdo Bio Campus, scheduled for completion this August. By introducing the production process, floor-by-floor structure and core facilities, the company plans to showcase its commercial production capacity and customized manufacturing competitiveness.
Lotte Biologics plans to emphasize its global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) competitiveness based on a dual-site operating system connecting its Syracuse plant in the United States with the Songdo Bio Campus.
"Ahead of the completion of Plant 1 at the Songdo Bio Campus, we are now able to showcase our differentiated production capacity to global potential clients," a Lotte Biologics official said. "We will further strengthen our global CDMO competitiveness based on the dual-site operating system connecting Syracuse and Songdo."
