Woowa Brothers, the operator of food delivery app Baedal Minjok (Baemin), said Wednesday it is running a campaign with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs to mark June, designated as Korea's Patriots and Veterans Month.
Through June 8, customers who view content on the Baemin app explaining the significance of Patriots and Veterans Month and the importance of honoring national merit recipients, and who share the page link with others, will receive a 5,000 won Baemin coupon. The coupons will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to 400 customers daily.
Woowa Brothers said it organized the event to spread a culture of gratitude and respect for national merit recipients through its app. The company explained that the campaign aims to help customers naturally reflect on the values of patriotism in their daily lives and to expand a culture of remembering and appreciating the dedication and sacrifice of national merit recipients.
"We planned this campaign to share the values of patriotism with Baemin customers during Patriots and Veterans Month," said Kim Joong-hyun, head of sustainability management at Woowa Brothers. "We will continue to grow as a service that has a positive impact on people's daily lives through various activities that realize social value."
