DeepX, an artificial intelligence (AI) chip startup, will target the global market by integrating its neural processing unit (NPU)-based solutions into products from AAEON, the industrial computing affiliate of the ASUS Group.
DeepX signed a three-year global mass production partnership agreement with AAEON to this effect at COMPUTEX 2026 in Taipei, Taiwan, the company said Monday. The agreement centers on expanding the application of DeepX's NPUs across industrial computing platforms. Under the deal, DeepX NPU-based AI solutions will be more broadly applied to AAEON's main product lines, including industrial PCs (IPCs), single-board computers (SBCs) and edge gateways. The two companies plan to leverage the ASUS Group's global distribution network and industrial customer base to expand their business into smart factories, autonomous mobile robots (AMR/AGV), smart cities, healthcare, retail, edge security and industrial safety.
The partnership is distinguished by its focus on actual mass production and market expansion, going beyond simple technology validation or proof of concept (PoC). DeepX said this reflects the market's confirmation of the performance of its NPU chips.
"This agreement is not simply about supplying products. It marks the starting point for the global expansion of AI infrastructure for the era of physical AI," DeepX CEO Lokwon Kim said. "DeepX will grow into a physical AI infrastructure company that runs AI most efficiently within industrial sites and actual devices."
