LG Uplus (032640.KS) said Monday it will launch a bundled plan combining YouTube Premium and Google's artificial intelligence (AI) Pro service on Tuesday.
The bundle links a generative AI subscription with a YouTube viewing service, allowing customers to use YouTube Premium at no additional cost on top of the 29,000 won monthly fee for Google AI Pro. The plan is 34 percent cheaper than subscribing to Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium separately.
YouTube Premium offers ad-free video viewing, background playback, offline downloads and YouTube Music. Google AI Pro delivers an advanced AI experience powered by the latest "Gemini 3.1 Pro" engine. Customers can maximize productivity through text and image generation, a "Deep Research" function that independently analyzes vast amounts of information to produce comprehensive reports, and integration with Google Workspace tools such as Gmail and Docs.
LG Uplus said it plans to continue strengthening its service competitiveness by expanding digital offerings through collaboration with global partners including Google and YouTube. "Through the synergy of these two powerful services, customers will experience seamless innovation ranging from content viewing to AI-based tasks," said Cho Yong-sung, head of partnership business at LG Uplus. "We will continue to introduce customized products based on a precise analysis of customers' diversifying usage patterns, building the perception that LG Uplus is the best in AI subscriptions."
