MegazoneCloud, a leading artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud company, will train AI and cloud talent in partnership with Sungkonghoe University.
MegazoneCloud said Wednesday it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for "fostering future digital innovation talent" at the Megazone Industry-Academia Research Center in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, on the 26th.
The agreement was pursued to combine Sungkonghoe University's education and research capabilities with MegazoneCloud's technological expertise in AI and cloud to cultivate practical talent needed in the era of digital transformation. The two institutions will cooperate on joint research in AI, cloud and big data; development of education curricula based on industry demand; operation of field practice and internship programs; and digital projects linked to local communities.
MegazoneCloud will develop educational content in AI and cloud and provide technical consulting. Through field practice and internship programs, the company will work to give students hands-on experience with AI and cloud technologies used in actual corporate environments and project execution processes. Sungkonghoe University will be responsible for developing curricula in digital innovation areas such as AI, cloud and big data. The university plans to identify joint research projects based on its education and research infrastructure and pursue digital projects linked to solving local community issues.
"As AI rapidly transforms work methods and service structures across industries, the importance of practical talent who can apply AI technology to actual fields is growing even greater," MegazoneCloud Chairman Lee Joo-wan said. "Together with Sungkonghoe University, we will expand AI utilization experience into the curriculum and create a cooperation model that allows students to substantively develop the AI capabilities required in industrial settings."
Sungkonghoe University President Kim Kyung-moon said, "This agreement will serve as an important opportunity for students to substantively experience and research future digital technologies. Based on the university's education and research infrastructure, we will strengthen students' practical capabilities through curricula reflecting industry demand and field-oriented learning."
