
Naver (035420.KS) said on the 27th that it discussed technology and policy support measures for the commercialization of mobile robots with Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kim Yoon-duk.
At Naver's 1784 headquarters that day, Minister Kim observed Naver's digital twin technology, its cloud-based multi-robot intelligence system "ARC," the autonomous indoor delivery robot "Rookie," and a mission demonstration by the outdoor mobile robot "Nuri." Naver CEO Choi Soo-yeon, CRO Yoo Bong-seok, and Naver Labs CEO Seok Sang-ok attended the event.
Minister Kim was briefed on Naver's physical AI and digital twin technologies, including use cases for autonomous robot technology applications.
Naver and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) also held discussions on policy support and regulatory innovation in the land, transport, and spatial information sectors aimed at promoting AI and autonomous robots.
"Through this visit to Naver's 1784 headquarters, I have confirmed the growth potential of various new industries in the land and transport sector, including robot-friendly buildings, digital twins, autonomous driving, and mobile robots," Minister Kim said. "Going forward, we will play an active role in strengthening the policy foundation for the activation of mobile robots."
