Amazon Web Services (AWS) and global beauty company Amorepacific are expanding their strategic partnership. The two companies plan to actively integrate artificial intelligence (AI) across Amorepacific's product development.
AWS said on the 21st that it will support Amorepacific's company-wide AI transformation and global beauty-tech platform expansion based on its AI and cloud technologies. The plan is to integrate AI across customer experience innovation, product development, and software development for major brands including Sulwhasoo, Laneige, and Hera, and to lead the AI transformation of the global beauty industry.
AWS and Amorepacific have so far achieved collaborative results including the development of the AI skin diagnostic service "Beauty Concierge Platform," productivity gains of up to 72% in software development using AWS's AI coding tool Kiro, automated review analysis based on AWS's generative AI platform Amazon Bedrock, and stable operation of more than 150 services on the AWS cloud.
In particular, the Beauty Concierge Platform, developed using AWS's machine learning service "Amazon SageMaker AI," has performed more than 500,000 skin diagnoses across 10 countries to date. The two companies also unveiled a new AI beauty platform demo at "AWS Summit Seoul 2026," held over two days starting the previous day at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Ahn Jong-hoon, executive director of Amorepacific's AX Division, said, "Amorepacific's vision is to combine AI technology with our long-standing beauty expertise to provide customers around the world with experiences that help them realize their own beauty," adding, "AWS is not merely a technology supplier but a strategic partner that designs and executes this vision together with us."
Ham Ki-ho, head of AWS Korea, emphasized, "The beauty industry is facing a major turning point in which the essence of 'experience' is being redefined, and AI is at the center of this change," adding, "Based on our broad AI capabilities and global infrastructure, AWS will continue to support Amorepacific's execution of its 'AI First' strategy and the strengthening of its global beauty-tech competitiveness."
