Kia (000270.KS) announced Wednesday that The All-New Seltos was named SUV of the Year at the 2026 Times Drive Auto Summit & Awards, hosted by Times Drive, an automotive and mobility media outlet under India's Times Group, on Wednesday local time.
The 2026 Times Drive Auto Summit & Awards selected winning models through comprehensive evaluations of design, performance, technology, safety and sustainability by a panel of automotive journalists and influencers. The panel assessed vehicles sold in India from April last year through January this year.
"This award reflects Kia's continuous efforts to provide vehicles that balance design, technology and practicality," Kia President Song Ho-sung said. "Seltos is a key model that strengthens Kia's position in the rapidly growing Indian market."
The All-New Seltos, launched by Kia in January this year, combines authentic SUV styling with forward-looking design elements to deliver a rugged yet refined image. Built on the K3 platform, the vehicle offers a smoother and more polished driving experience with significantly improved ride quality, suspension performance and noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) control.
On safety, the model earned a five-star rating in the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP), India's new car safety evaluation program, scoring 31.70 out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 45.00 out of 49 for child occupant protection. The result marks the highest safety score among internal combustion engine SUVs launched in India.
Since its January launch in India, The All-New Seltos has consistently recorded average monthly sales of more than 10,000 units, with cumulative sales reaching 42,554 units, drawing strong responses from local customers.
"The All-New Seltos has enhanced its product competitiveness through a spacious interior, confident design, and strengthened safety and technology," said Lee Kwang-koo, Vice President and Head of Kia's India Regional Headquarters. "This award serves as another confirmation of the trust Seltos has built with Indian customers."
