Geo-Young, Korea's largest integrated healthcare platform, said Monday it has donated some 20,000 medicine products worth 480 million won ($350,000) to support health care for socially vulnerable groups.
The Family Month medicine donation was delivered through the Community Chest of Korea Seoul to organizations that directly support vulnerable groups, including the Korea New Life Welfare Foundation and the Korea Health and Medical Volunteer Association. The donated over-the-counter medicines, including high-dose vitamins, will be used to help maintain the basic health and physical condition of vulnerable neighbors who typically have limited access to medical care.
Geo-Young's social support aligns with its corporate mission of "bringing prosperity to the world we live in." Based on the values of this mission, Geo-Young continues to provide medicines and health supplies for socially vulnerable groups each year through various social contribution activities, including support for nursing facilities and the health protection of low-income households.
"Pharmaceutical distribution is more than simple logistics — it is public infrastructure that sustains national health," Geo-Young Chairwoman Cho Sun-hye said. "As Korea's top pharmaceutical distribution company, we will continue to fulfill our social responsibility."
Geo-Young is Korea's leading pharmaceutical distribution company, operating a stable medicine supply network based on a nationwide logistics infrastructure. Last year, the company surpassed 5 trillion won in annual revenue for the first time since its founding.
