NCsoft (036570.KS) has established a marketing partnership with Roblox Korea to expand its presence in the domestic market.
According to industry sources on Thursday, NCsoft has signed a marketing memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Roblox Korea. The two companies agreed to collaborate on joint online and offline marketing campaigns, co-branded content production, and joint promotions through their official channels.
Under the MOU, NCsoft began offering benefits for three Roblox intellectual properties (IPs) — "99 Nights in the Forest," "Dandy's World," and "Steal a Brainrot" — at NC Family Zone (NCFZ) PC cafes nationwide starting Wednesday.
Users can receive various benefits by accessing the three games through the dedicated game launcher "R-Boost" at NC Family Zone PC cafes. NCsoft plans to continuously expand the lineup of Roblox IPs eligible for PC cafe benefits.
"Through our marketing partnership with Roblox, a global immersive gaming and creation platform, we will provide more diverse play experiences to domestic users," said Cho Young-jae, head of NCsoft's marketing center. "We will continue to broaden customer touchpoints and create mutual synergy through the partnership between the two companies."
Richard Chae, CEO of Roblox Korea, said, "We have high expectations that this marketing collaboration with NCsoft, a leader in the Korean gaming industry, will help us promote Roblox's differentiated content more dynamically. By combining the strengths of both companies, we will build an environment where Korean users can experience Roblox IPs more easily and immersively."
