Dooray, the most widely used collaboration tool in Korea's public sector business, is significantly strengthening its artificial intelligence (AI) agent features.
Paik Chang-yeol, CEO of NHN Dooray, announced at a press briefing held at NHN Play Museum in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on Tuesday that "we are adding a wide range of agent features to mark the second anniversary of Dooray AI." Dooray AI, a subscription-based AI SaaS launched by NHN Dooray in 2024, provides AI tools such as summarization and large language model (LLM) integration in addition to business collaboration functions including email, messenger and electronic approval. NHN Dooray is the top player in the public SaaS collaboration tool sector, with some 150 public institutions as clients.
The biggest change is that while the existing Dooray AI could only connect with data accumulated within Dooray, it can now also integrate external data. "Through the 'Extension Agent,' external data can be linked and used within Dooray," Paik said. "It becomes possible to utilize client data within Dooray Messenger and to query external LLMs based on that data." The company also offers "My Agent," which analyzes users' emails, calendars and document files to suggest work priorities; "Project Agent," a collaboration feature dedicated to projects; and "Built-in Agent," which is trained on specialized domain data such as legal, accounting and regulatory fields. NHN Dooray plans to roll out various built-in agents starting in June, beginning with a DART Agent that utilizes the Data Analysis, Retrieval and Transfer System (DART), Korea's electronic disclosure system.
Along with feature enhancements, the company plans to expand its client base. NHN Dooray supplies Dooray to 25 financial institutions including Woori Financial Group, and its financial sector revenue is projected to grow approximately seven-fold this year due to the easing of network separation regulations in the financial industry. SaaS subscription revenue has risen more than 40% annually over the past three years. "In the private sector, our representative clients include Hyundai Motor Group, Megastudyedu, DY Group and Osstem Implant," Paik said. "We are confident that Dooray offers a level of service that does not fall behind foreign services."
