Netmarble (251270.KS) announced Friday that it successfully concluded the global official tournament for its action game "Solo Leveling: Arise."
The "Solo Leveling: Arise Championship," in which players competed in "Battlefield of Time," one of the game's most popular content modes, was held on Tuesday in Jamsil, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Five players who advanced through regional qualifiers in Europe, South America, North America and Asia traveled to Korea to compete in the finals.
The championship went to "NightFall" of the Twilight Guild in the International League, who earned 25 points across four boss battles.
On-site activities included experiential mini-games such as "Shadow Army Photo Zone," "Harper's Pork Cutlet Hammer!," "Sung Jin-woo's Shadow Stepping" and "Yoo Jin-ho's Equipment Collection." After the tournament, Netmarble held an "Evolution Showcase" unveiling the contents of a major update for "Solo Leveling: Arise," which is approaching its second anniversary. Jin Sung-gun, PD at Netmarble Neo, took the stage and said, "Through this Evolution update, 'Solo Leveling: Arise' will evolve into an entirely different dimension."
Key updates announced include condensed experience points and progression paths, along with streamlined content. The update provides more experience points than before in the journey from level 1 to 150, shortening growth time. Unnecessary repetitive combat stages after Chapter 5 will be removed. In addition, the previously complex early-game growth missions, which branched in multiple directions, will be consolidated into the "Monarch's Milestones," with completion rewards including all 15 SSR-grade hunters and 10 SSR Sung Jin-woo weapons.
As part of the second anniversary update celebration, Netmarble will provide 500 free summons to all users. Users will receive 400 summons simply by logging in after the update, with an additional 100 summons available through gameplay.
"Solo Leveling: Arise" is the first game based on the "Solo Leveling" IP, which has recorded 14.3 billion cumulative global views. The game surpassed 60 million cumulative global users about 10 months after its official release. It also won the Grand Prize at the 2024 Korea Game Awards.
