◇ Netmarble's 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' Rolls Out First Major Update = Netmarble has implemented the first major update for its open-world action RPG "The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin," adding the new hero "Escanor" and releasing Act 13 of the main story.
Newly added "Escanor" is a member of the original "The Seven Deadly Sins" and is considered one of the strongest characters in the universe. Wielding the magical power "Sunshine," he is characterized by a contrasting personality — arrogant and bold by day, but humble by night.

In the game, "Escanor" wields an axe, a greatsword, and a sword and shield, delivering powerful attacks with bold action that inflicts burn effects on enemies. To commemorate the character's launch, Netmarble has also updated his exclusive engraved equipment and the sacred item "Divine Axe Rhitta" from the original work.
The main story has been expanded with Act 13, "The Sun Rises Again." The story follows Meliodas and Hawk, who realize through the protagonist Tristan that they are in the future and set out to find their comrades, only to encounter "Galand" of the Ten Commandments.
The update also introduces a new region, "Beautiful Gluttony Tavern." Located in the unknown area south of the Vanya Plain, "Beautiful Gluttony Tavern" features new gathering items, cooking ingredients, minerals, and other specialties, adding to the fun of open-world exploration.
"Galand" appears as new boss challenge content. "Galand" periodically inflicts the "Taboo" status on players, with a unique mechanic that petrifies the character and reduces their health if they perform a prohibited action during the taboo state. Notably, clearing Hell difficulty rewards players with "Mad Eye of Evil," a crafting material for the legendary weapon "Soul Devouring Axe."
