Amorepacific Group announced Wednesday it will implement an energy-saving campaign across all business sites to respond to the national energy crisis.
The company will first encourage a vehicle rotation scheme based on license plate numbers for employees using personal cars and company vehicles. Electric and hydrogen vehicles, as well as vehicles carrying disabled individuals, pregnant women, or preschool children, are exempt from the policy.
The company will also strengthen energy usage standards in line with government recommendations, raising cooling temperatures and lowering heating temperatures. Operating hours for lighting in office and common areas will be reduced, and general hot water supply to washrooms will be suspended during summer months.
Business travel management will also be tightened. Overseas trips will be minimized to essential and urgent matters only, with expanded use of video conferencing. Domestic travel, including offline group training sessions, will be reduced overall, with unavoidable trips limited to minimal personnel and shortest possible durations.
The company will also encourage employee participation in daily conservation activities. Campaigns promoting voluntary practices such as reducing food waste, cutting single-use product consumption, and using personal tumblers will continue to expand.
"We will gradually expand various measures to improve energy efficiency and actively cooperate with the government's energy-saving policies," an Amorepacific official said.
