Bookook Securities said Thursday that CEO Park Hyun-chul has joined a relay campaign to eradicate illegal gambling among youth.
Park participated in the campaign upon a relay nomination from Yun Chang-hyun, president of Koscom. He nominated Geum Jeong-ho, CEO of Shinyoung Securities, and Gwak Bong-seok, CEO of DB Financial Investment, as the next relay participants.
The campaign is a society-wide initiative organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency to raise awareness of the need for crime prevention. It was launched to heighten public vigilance over the growing problem of illegal gambling among youth, which has been spreading primarily through online platforms.
"Illegal gambling among youth is an important issue that must be addressed as a society," Park said. "We will fulfill our social responsibility for the safe and healthy future of young people, and I hope this campaign will help eradicate illegal gambling among youth."
