
Netflix's monthly active users (MAU) in March approached 16 million, solidifying its dominant No. 1 position in South Korea's online streaming (OTT) market. Coupang Play also surpassed 9 million for the first time since its launch.
According to data from IGAWorks Mobile Index released Friday, Netflix's March MAU reached 15,916,943, up 649,814 (4.3%) from the previous month. Netflix drew massive attention by exclusively live-streaming BTS's comeback stage on March 21. On that day alone, 18.4 million viewers worldwide watched BTS's return concert on Netflix. Domestic daily active users (DAU) hit 5,777,812, surpassing 4 million for the first time this year by a wide margin.
