
Netmarble has released a teaser video for its upcoming monster-taming action RPG "Mongil: Star Dive," set to launch this month.
According to game industry sources on Thursday, Netmarble unveiled the teaser ahead of the Mongil: Star Dive online showcase. The game is a sequel to "Monster Taming," which was released in 2013, and is scheduled for a global launch on April 15. An online showcase will be held on April 8, one week before the official release.
The teaser video captures Mongil: Star Dive's global journey leading up to launch. The game has been showcased at major international gaming events starting with Gamescom in Germany, followed by Tokyo Game Show in Japan, Brasil Game Show in Brazil, and GDC in the United States, as well as domestic events such as G-Star and AGF, actively engaging with users worldwide.
The online showcase will be available for anyone to watch starting at 6 p.m. on April 8 on the official Mongil: Star Dive YouTube channel. The event will be streamed simultaneously in Korean, English and Japanese. Netmarble Monster producer Lee Dong-jo, Netmarble business division head Kang Dong-gi and other guests will appear to introduce core gameplay features including the combat system and monster taming.
Ahead of the official launch, Netmarble is conducting global pre-registration. Users who register their mobile phone numbers on the brand website can obtain the beastfolk healer character "Francis." The company is also recruiting official partner creators for Mongil: Star Dive through April 12.
